iPad owners looking to read existing Adobe DRM protected books – including those bought from UK retailers such as Waterstones, WH Smiths and Foyles – on their iPad can now do so thanks to an updated version of the txtr app.
The free app was previously available for the iPhone however, as with all iPhone apps, it required ‘stretching’ to fill the iPad screen which could lead to blurred text and an unpleasant reading experience. The new version includes native support for the iPad’s 9.7” screen and delivers crisp, easily read text as well as a night reading mode.
